In the northeast corner of Oklahoma County is Luther, with a population just over 1,000.

In November of 2007, Luther had the dedication ceremony for the newly constructed Luther Veteran's Memorial and Freedom Center. It was funded and built through generous volunteers, with a fundraising drive by the Luther Historical Society.

There are three locations in Luther that are on the National Register of Historic Places - Engel's Dry Goods Store, the Booher Archeological Site, and the Threat Filling Station.
